Physician Assistant Job Details

- Start Date: As soon as possible
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $3,500–$4,140
- Clinical Volume: Approximately 8–10 new patient intakes per day, in addition to discharges and rounding
- Practice Model: Independent practice as the charge provider; no procedures are required
Physician Assistant Job Requirements
- Current Physician Assistant license in Colorado
- At least 1 year of clinical experience required; 2 years preferred
- Experience in residential treatment, behavioral health, addiction medicine, substance use disorder care, or medication-assisted detoxification strongly preferred
- Current DEA registration
- Ability to evaluate and manage adult patients in a residential detoxification setting
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work independently
Addiction Medicine Physician Assistant Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive new patient intakes for adults entering residential detoxification and addiction treatment
- Provide medication-assisted detoxification and outpatient opioid treatment services
- Round on patients throughout their residential treatment stay and monitor clinical progress
- Complete patient discharges and coordinate appropriate follow-up care
- Provide clinical oversight for the treatment program and serve as the on-duty charge provider
- Assess patient needs, develop treatment plans, and adjust care as clinically appropriate
- Collaborate with the behavioral health and residential treatment team to support safe, compassionate patient care
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and meet all applicable regulatory and credentialing requirements
