Locum Tenens CRNA in Ocala, FL — Level 1 Trauma Center; Florida CRNA license required; 1+ year recent clinical experience. Join our high-performing anesthesia team for broad trauma and adult surgical exposure in Central Florida.

Locum Tenens CRNA Job Details

  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $7,390 – $7,790 (competitive locum tenens CRNA pay)
  • Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (May 5, 2026 – August 4, 2026)
  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Shift Schedule: Day shifts (7a–5p, 7a–7p, 7a–9p); weekend coverage required (2 shifts every 6 weeks); mix of 10-, 12-, or 14-hour shifts
  • Setting: Level 1 Trauma Center; 15 operating rooms at a high-volume teaching hospital
  • Case Types: Cardiac, Orthopedics, General, Neurosurgery, Vascular, Endoscopy, GYN, Robotics, Trauma (no Pediatrics/OB)
  • Team: 19 Physicians & 28 Advanced Practice Providers across two hospitals

CRNA Job Requirements

  • Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with at least 1 year of recent clinical experience
  • Trauma experience required; proficiency with regional nerve blocks, spinal anesthesia, and central/arterial line placement
  • Active Florida CRNA license required (out-of-state candidates must obtain Florida license at presentation)
  • Current ACLS and BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
  • Full-time availability and flexibility for scheduled weekends and on-site rotations
  • Willingness to cross-credential at West Marion Community Hospital as needed
  • Clean background check, up-to-date malpractice history, completed skills checklist, and current CV required
  • Phone or Zoom interview with clinical leadership required prior to assignment

CRNA Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, high-quality anesthesia care across a broad surgical case mix with emphasis on trauma and complex adult patients
  • Independently perform regional nerve blocks, spinal anesthesia, and central/arterial line placements
  • Provide general anesthesia care for cardiac, neuro, vascular, robotics, and high-acuity surgical cases
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perioperative nurses, and advanced practice providers in a multidisciplinary OR team
  • Work within the supervision model (typically 90% supervision, 1:4 ratio) and manage solo cases as needed
  • Maintain accurate perioperative documentation and uphold patient safety and quality standards
  • Be available for scheduled weekend coverage and on-site rotations per assignment needs
