- Hours Per Week: Minimum 36 hours
- Paid Orientation: 3 days required (starts second Monday of each month)
- Call: Optional weeknight and weekend overnight shifts available (not required)
Job Requirements — CRNA Qualifications
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) — active Minnesota (MN) Board of Nursing CRNA license required
- Registered Nurse (RN) — active MN Board of Nursing RN license required
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of clinical CRNA experience in an anesthesia/perioperative or operating room setting
- Completed skills checklist required at time of submission
- Must live 50 miles or more from the facility to be considered (locum tenens requirement)
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred (Epic proficiency a plus for anesthesia documentation)
CRNA Responsibilities — Anesthesia and Perioperative Care
- Provide safe, evidence-based general anesthesia and perioperative care for patients aged 12 and older in a tertiary hospital setting
- Perform airway management, induction, maintenance, emergence, and post-anesthesia care for a variety of surgical cases
- Practice within a supervised care team model (4:1 ratio) as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist
- Conduct pre-operative assessments, develop individualized anesthesia plans, and coordinate perioperative care with surgical teams
- Document anesthesia care, medications, vitals, and patient data accurately using Epic EMR
- Collaborate with the 24-hour Anesthesia Aid Department for room turnover, equipment, and supply management
- Participate in specialized procedures as assigned and maintain compliance with ASA standards, hospital protocols, and patient safety initiatives
- Optional: participate in weeknight and weekend overnight shifts (not required)
- Note: In this role, CRNAs do not perform nerve blocks, arterial lines (a-lines), epidurals, or spinals.
