• Location: Charleston, South Carolina (29425) — Charleston healthcare jobs / South Carolina anesthesia jobs
• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (Per Diem)
• Start Date: May 4, 2026
• End Date: May 5, 2026 (with option to extend)
• Shift Schedule: 13.5-hour shifts (6:00am – 7:30pm and 8:00am – 9:30pm; some weekends; 0.5 hr unpaid lunch)
• Practice Model: Medically directed; collaborative CRNA-anesthesiology team
• Setting: Level I Academic Trauma Center with 21 OR suites and non-OR sites (CT, MRI, Bronch, Neuro-angio, Interventional Radiology)
• Case Mix: General Anesthesia, Neuro/Spine, Orthopedics, Oncology, ENT, GYN, Urology
• Cases per Day: 3–5
• Hours per Week: Approximately 36

Compensation

• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $3,780 - $4,410 per week

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active South Carolina CRNA license (or license in process)
• Minimum 3 years of CRNA experience in hospital/OR settings
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records / EPIC EMR
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility (per radius rules)
• Flexibility to work in both main hospital and outpatient/ambulatory settings
• Willingness to provide full-time coverage during assignment dates, including some weekends
• Strong skills in airway management, regional/neuraxial techniques, and perioperative anesthesia care

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality general anesthesia care across a broad surgical case mix (Neuro/Spine, Orthopedics, Oncology, ENT, GYN, Urology)
• Provide anesthesia services in operating rooms and non-OR locations (interventional radiology, CT, MRI)
• Collaborate within a large, medically directed CRNA/anesthesiology practice group
• Rotate between main hospital and outpatient/ambulatory towers to meet clinical needs
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in EPIC and follow hospital anesthesia protocols
• Participate in perioperative planning and handoffs to ensure patient safety and continuity of care
