- Clinical Environment: Anesthesia department with 31 operating rooms, physician-directed care, and a 1:2 physician-to-CRNA ratio

Cardiac Anesthesiologist Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as an anesthesiologist; strong cardiac anesthesia experience required
- M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an approved anesthesiology residency
- Board certification or fellowship training in anesthesiology or cardiac anesthesiology
- Current physician license, or willingness to obtain licensure in New York
- Current TEE certification required
- Eligible for applicable credentialing and privileging requirements
Cardiac Anesthesiology Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive cardiac anesthesia care for patients undergoing surgical and interventional procedures
- Assist in directing and coordinating anesthesia department activities
- Perform thorough pre-anesthesia assessments and verify informed consent
- Discuss anesthetic options, anticipated outcomes, and potential risks with patients
- Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
- Monitor and evaluate patients’ physiological condition throughout procedures
- Perform clinical interventions as needed to support patient safety and recovery
- Collaborate with CRNAs and multidisciplinary clinical teams while managing appropriate cases independently
