- Assignment Duration: Up to 91 weeks (through December 2027)
- Shift: 8-hour day shifts (6:30am–3:00pm; some days until 5:00pm)
- Setting: Large hospital with 20 anesthesia rooms — high-volume medical center
- Start Date: April 3, 2026
- MD to CRNA Ratio: 1:3 or 1:4 (MDs supervise CRNAs)
- Charting System: Epic (anesthesia documentation and perioperative charting)
- Travel Perks: Car rental/mileage reimbursement ($250/week), lodging provided ($110/day)
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited College of Medicine
- Board Certification or Fellowship in Anesthesiology (board eligible considered)
- Completion of an accredited residency in Anesthesiology
- Current physician license — NC license acceptable or candidates willing to obtain NC license
- ECFMG and FLEX, if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in anesthesiology
Key Responsibilities
- Provide medical management and perioperative anesthesia care for patients undergoing surgery and procedures (general, cardiac, neuro, ortho, OB, pediatrics)
- Pre-anesthesia assessment, informed consent verification, and discussion of anesthetic options and risks with patients
- Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia with vigilant physiologic monitoring
- Perform clinical interventions and respond to intraoperative changes as needed
- Supervise and collaborate with CRNAs per MD-to-CRNA model
- Document anesthesia care and orders in Epic, ensuring accurate perioperative records
- Participate in directing and coordinating activities within the Anesthesia Department as required
