Job Requirements
- Active Pennsylvania Nurse Practitioner license required
- Current Nurse Practitioner certification required
- At least 1 year of clinical experience required
- Previous night shift experience strongly preferred
- Emergency medicine experience strongly preferred
- Ability to work a full-time schedule in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Comfortable caring for adult patients with occasional adolescent needs
- Strong assessment, triage, and independent decision-making skills
Responsibilities
- Assess patients entering the facility during overnight hours
- Evaluate and treat acute and chronic medical concerns
- Support initiation of detox treatment in collaboration with nursing staff
- Address urgent and emergent medical issues as they arise
- Provide high-quality care to a primarily adult patient population
- Work independently with on-site nursing support and physician backup by phone
- Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently
- Help ensure continuity of care in a high-volume correctional health setting
