Locum Tenens CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) – Saint Albans City, VT. Join a Level 3 Trauma Center with a diverse case mix; active Vermont CRNA license required. - Weekly Estimated Pay: $7,920 – $8,350 (competitive locum tenens CRNA pay)
- Assignment Duration: 52 weeks
- Start Date: August 10, 2026
- Shifts per Week: 5 (typical anesthesia job schedule)
- Shift Duration: 8-hour days (7am–3pm; late room 7am–5pm)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Rotation: Monday–Friday
- Call Schedule: 3pm–7am, approximately 1 time per week (30-minute response required)
- Team Model: 3 CRNAs / 2 MDs (collaborative anesthesia team)
- Number of Providers: 5
- Number of ORs: 5
- EMR System: Medaxion (electronic documentation)
- Credentialing Timeframe: 60–90 days (temporary privileges available with clear background and malpractice history)
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of CRNA clinical experience in perioperative and regional anesthesia settings
- Active, unrestricted Vermont CRNA license required (must be obtained prior to application)
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) certification
- AHA-issued ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
- Current DEA registration required
- Proof of case logs for epidurals, spinals, and peripheral nerve blocks (regional anesthesia experience)
- Clear background and malpractice history
Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia care for a broad range of cases: Orthopedics, General Surgery, Endoscopy, OB/GYN (including C-sections and VBACs), Pediatrics, Urology, ENT, Ophthalmology, and Plastics
- Perform spinals, epidurals, and regional nerve blocks; maintain accurate case logs for each procedure (regional anesthesia competency)
- Participate in obstetric anesthesia for approximately 380 deliveries per year at the facility
- Deliver care in a supervised model (approximately 60% supervision) as part of the anesthesia care team
- Respond to scheduled call within 30 minutes as required (emergency and trauma response in a Level 3 Trauma Center)
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation in Medaxion EMR and comply with institutional policies and quality standards
