Locum Tenens CRNA in Espanola, NM — 52-week assignment with competitive weekly pay ($7,530–$7,930). Seeking an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for general anesthesia and regional anesthesia cases in Northern New Mexico.

  • Location: Espanola, New Mexico (zip 87532) — Northern New Mexico, nearby Santa Fe and Taos
  • Job Title: Locum Tenens CRNA – General Anesthesia / Nurse Anesthetist
  • Duration: 52 weeks (Start Date: June 20, 2026 – End Date: June 19, 2027)
  • Shifts: 4 per week; 10-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
  • Call Schedule: 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM, every 3rd night; Friday night call covers weekend
  • Call Response Time: 30 minutes
  • Providers on Site: 3 CRNAs (collaborative perioperative team)
  • Operating Rooms: 3 ORs
  • EMR: Epic (experience preferred)

Job Requirements — Nurse Anesthetist Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of CRNA clinical experience with adult or mixed case mix
  • Active, unrestricted CRNA license or ability to obtain New Mexico state licensure
  • DEA certificate and CSR certificates required
  • Demonstrated proficiency in epidurals, spinals, and regional nerve blocks (case logs required)
  • Clear background and malpractice history (temporary credentialing available)
  • BLS and ACLS required (as noted)
  • Familiarity with Epic EMR and electronic anesthesia records is a plus

Responsibilities — Anesthesia Provider Duties

  • Provide safe, evidence-based anesthesia care across a broad case mix including Endoscopy, OB, GYN, General Surgery, Orthopedics, and Acute Pain Management
  • Perform spinals, epidurals, and regional nerve blocks (peripheral nerve blocks, neuraxial anesthesia) as indicated
  • Participate in call rotation and reliably respond within the 30-minute call response time
  • Maintain accurate anesthesia documentation and case logs in Epic and support efficient perioperative workflows
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia colleagues, OR nurses, and perioperative staff to optimize patient outcomes and OR throughput
